“Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can.
“He can deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, and pour out peace.”
Ezra Taft Benson
Thirteen years after I began my journey toward greater physical and spiritual wellness, I started a blog titled “Lean On Me-Healthy.” At the time, Michelle, my workout buddy, and I created a blog. Our shared vision was that our blog would be a safe place for people to come and share experiences–both struggles and successes–about living healthier lives, changing our relationship with food, and growing in love for ourselves and for others. We had discovered that changes such as these came easier and were more fulfilling when we had someone with whom to share the journey.
Michelle and I are still friends and workout buddies, but it’s now up to me to move our vision forward. In 2015, as she and I sat in her living room mapping out our blog, Michelle said, “Flip it to the positive! Instead of win or lose, it’s live and learn.” That has become my philosophy regarding physical and spiritual wellness. Care of yourself the best you can right now, and seek to learn and practice better ways as you move through the rest of your life.
God is eager to help and will run to our aid when we invite Him in.
Tumblings is a place where I share my story of becoming the woman God knows I can be. I’d LOVE to read and share your story too!
