A lifelong student of writing, I’m finally writing my first book, a dream I’ve had since 6th grade!
In 2016 I earned an Associate in Arts degree in creative writing from SUNY Adirondack Community College and plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in English and editing. While attending SUNY Adirondack, I entered several samples of my writing for the English Division’s Voluntary Outstanding Portfolio Assessment and received five out of five designations of “outstanding” from the English professors who reviewed my writing portfolio. I also enjoyed working part time as a tutor in the reading and writing center.
I love to hike, camp, kayak, and bicycle with my husband, Sam. When we’re out bicycling, we always stop for ice cream.
My favorite thing to do while camping is to cook awesome meals over a wood fire! Growing up, I spent summers at my grandparents’ camp on Schroon Lake in Upstate New York where I learned to swim and water ski. I love to swim, and I can still do a back flip off a diving board!
I have five grown children, and I’m the “Go-to-Grammie” to seven grandchildren.
